The Cruise International Awards have made it into the local newspaper of one of the most isolated islands in the world – the British overseas territory of St Helena. The St Helena Independent has run a "Tourism Newsflash" on page 17 of the newspaper encouraging the 4,255 inhabitants to vote in the awards in which the island has been shortlisted as a 'Hidden Gem'.
