Costa Favolosa is the new flag ship vessel for Costa Cruises
Currently dry-docked in Trieste, Costa Favolosa’s inaugural event will take place on 2 July 2011 in Piazza Unità d’Italia.
The new flagship of Costa Cruises, will stay in Trieste until mid-May while in preparation for sea trials scheduled for late May. The sea trials will test the ship in the open sea with a series of tests on its systems, machinery and engines.
Costa Favolosa weighs 114,500 gross tonnage and accommodates up to 3,800 guests, making it the largest Italian-flagged vessel.
