Hurtigruten launches marathon broadcast

Hurtigruten has linked up with Norwegian TV to broadcast 134 hours of live, non-stop TV following one of the fleet’s journey along the Norwegian Coast.

The Norwegian Broadcasting Company will use nine cameras to capture every one of the 8,040 minutes on board MS Nordnorge on its journey from Bergen to Kirkenes.

The show, which will start tomorrow (Thursday 16 June) will be broadcast live into Norwegian homes and streamed over the internet. You can watch the show here.

The show will include interviews with crew and guests along the way, as well the extraordinary Norwegian coastline, which includes the western fjords with UNESCO-listed Geirangerfjord, the coast of Helgeland, the Lofoten Islands, Tromso and the North Cape.

About Adam Coulter
Adam Coulter was a bit of a cruise novice when he took over the captaincy of Cruise International in 2010. In the past year and a half he's jumped right in, clocking up seven cruises in a year and a half plus a visit to the Panama Canal. When he's not on board a ship he likes nothing more than jumping off to do a spot of scuba diving, preferably in the warm waters of the Caribbean.
