Jenny McCarthy and James Brolin will soon appear in two short films as both actors and directors. The films, a part of Royal Caribbean International’s ‘Ocean Views’ digital film series, mark the beginning of an innovative marketing strategy for the cruise line, and showcase the line’s newest ship, Allure of the Seas.
McCarthy’s film, her first as both actor and director, follows two star crossed exes in the aptly named, “The Allure of Love.” Brolin’s film “Royal Reuinion” features a multi-generational family holiday onboard the Allure of the Seas and promises all of the comedy one might expect.
The film series marks the beginning of a new marketing strategy on the part of Royal Caribbean International as they recognise that consumers are, “Getting their information from a variety of channels,” as stated by Betsy O’Rourke, Senior Vice President Marketing for the line. The debut of the films, to be held on 13 March onboard Allure of the Seas in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, is to be immediately followed by a Twitter party between 10-11pm on the same night, hosted by McCarthy, another step showcasing the line’s dedication to digital advertising.
Both short films will be available for viewing on Royal Caribbean International’s website and YouTube from 9pm on 13 March.
