Overall rating:

Our recent day cruise on the Spirit of Chartwell, to commemorate our ruby wedding anniversary, lived up to, and exceeded, all expectations. We have no hesitation in thoroughly recommending this experience as a memorable and truly wonderful special event. Thanks to the attention to detail by all the staff, the day was totally relaxing and rewarding.
Food

How such exceptional quality cuisine can be generated for so many by so few in such a small galley defies belief. The chef and his crew were introduced to the passengers after dinner which allowed for a show of much deserved appreciation
Entertainment

This comprised appropriate recorded music during lunch (Sinatra) and tea, with a live acoustic guitarist during dinner. The owner (Philip Morrell) also spoke of the problems incurred while realising the dream of a magnificent luxury Thames cruise vessel
Excursions

Brief visits to the Royal Naval College at Greenwich and the Tate Gallery at Millbank were both very rewarding and delightful interludes
Staff

Superb, faultless and attentive. 3 changes of uniform during the day were impressive
Family Friendliness

Given the sophisticated and relaxed atmosphere children under 16 would be inappropriate
Cabins

Beautifully furnished and finished in polished mahogany and lamp fittings from SS France and RMS Windsor Castle. Good air conditioning was a bonus
