Celebrity Silhouette - launching

Celebrity Cruises has launched a competition on Twitter offering one lucky winner a place on board new ship Celebrity Silhouette – but you only have until tomorrow (Wednesday 13 July) to enter!

The competition asks Twitter users in the UK and Ireland which new feature of the ship they are most excited to see and why and to post their comments @CelebrityUk 2pm.

The winner plus a guest will get the chance to see the ship before any other paying guest, for a two-night inaugural cruise sailing from Rome.

Entrants have a maximum of 140 characters (as per usual tweet) to impress the judges, who include our very own Cruise International Awards judge John Honeywell, aka Captain Greybeard.

Celebrity Silhouette will launch later this month and will be the fourth in Celebrity’s stylish, five-ship Solstice Class fleet. The ship will feature a number of industry firsts such as the Lawn Club Grill, where guests can select and grill their own meats with the Celebrity’s expert chefs or have them cooked to order; The Alcoves, where cruisers can enjoy wi-fi-equipped private cabanas overlooking a real grass lawn; The Art Studio, where both professional and amateur artists can enjoy classes in drawing and painting and The Hideaway, a space reminiscent of a tree house where holidaymakers can relax.

About Adam Coulter
Adam Coulter was a bit of a cruise novice when he took over the captaincy of Cruise International in 2010. In the past year and a half he's jumped right in, clocking up seven cruises in a year and a half plus a visit to the Panama Canal. When he's not on board a ship he likes nothing more than jumping off to do a spot of scuba diving, preferably in the warm waters of the Caribbean.
